Race Weekend Update
Feb 15, 2026
Hello friends,
As you’ve probably heard by now, due to the incoming weather, Seaside made the call to cancel the half marathon this weekend. (You can read the official message they sent at the bottom of this email.)
I know. Deep breaths.
While we won’t be lining up at the starting line tomorrow, we will still be gathering for worship at 10 a.m. as usual. The roads should be open like normal, and the shuttles are still scheduled to run as planned.
Obviously, everyone would have loved to run tomorrow… well… most of you. But the priority is keeping people safe, and that’s something we can all get behind.
The silver lining? There is now hardly any excuse not to join us for worship. That said, if you were already planning to worship online, that option is still there for you and you should definitely still do that!
Ash Wednesday Service
Mar 5, 2025
Tonight is our Ash Wednesday service. 6pm at The Chapel. We will keep the service at 60 minutes or less. If you are free, I hope you will join us for this kick of the season of Lent. A season of prayer and fasting, of refinement and reflection, and of journeying with Jesus to the cross. The service will be similar to a Sunday morning worship service. Songs, scripture, teaching and we will end with a time receiving ashes on your hand or on your forehead if you so choose.
Unanticipated Adjustments
Dec 27, 2024
The weeks leading up to Christmas I had lists of things to get accomplished, presents to buy and wrap, and details to finalize. As with most things, I found most of the presents I needed to get, I got some that I didn’t anticipate buying, and wrapping and details adjusted because of the slight change. Funny enough, one of those things was a garlic peeler…have you seen these? I know, they may be really popular and we just stumbled across them, but they are amazing. Sarah had seen one on a cooking show and I randomly found one at a kitchen store. It wasn’t on her list…or really even mine to find, but I ran across this unanticipated kitchen tool, got it for Sarah and she was surprised about this great gift! Sometimes unanticipated things that require slight changes or adjustments end up being a surprising blessing.
All of us have experienced some change in plans and then needed to make adjustments.
Christmas Reminders
Dec 20, 2024
I know you have wish lists to fulfill, errands to run, details to finalize, and all the wrapping! So I have no interest in adding to your busyness, but I do want to make sure you have everything you need for Christmas Eve worship and the next few weeks at The Chapel. Read below to get the details and of course let us know if you have any questions.

Quick Travel Reminder
Mar 1, 2024
Whenever we travel, inevitably someone in our house forgets something.
A travel pillow.
Headphones.
Deodorant.
Winter coat.
Kevin!
Just kidding, we haven’t left a kid home alone while we went galavanting in Europe…yet…
We know in the next several weeks people will be traveling.
Some people will be coming to town for Spring Break.
Some people will be leaving town for Spring Break
Some people will be staying off 30A because of Spring Break.
Whatever the next few weeks hold for you, I want to let you know about a few things.

Parking During A Holy Week
Apr 5, 2023
Sometimes it seems like it is feast or famine.
It is all or nothing.
It is chaos or calm.
This is Holy Week. A week that is set apart, a week that is specifically set aside to reflect upon what happened 2000 years ago in Jerusalem. A week with high highs and low lows.
During a week that is so big, that is so full, that we see so much of what God has done and is doing, it is also a week where we have so many people in town.
It is a bit of a feast, a bit of chaos, a bit of everything.
