Christmas Reminders

I know you have wish lists to fulfill, errands to run, details to finalize, and all the wrapping!  So I have no interest in adding to your busyness, but I do want to make sure you have everything you need for Christmas Eve worship and the next few weeks at The Chapel.  Read below to get the details and of course let us know if you have any questions.

Sunday, December 22nd.  Worship at 10am.  This Sunday is the fourth Sunday of the Advent Season.  We will light the candle of Love and remember that love came down for us.  It will be a normal Sunday service, but it will also be our worship leader, Daniel Pratt’s last Sunday officially leading.  His family will be lighting the Advent Candle, so I hope you join us and bless him and his family with kind words as they begin a new journey.

Tuesday, December 24th.  Christmas Eve Services at 4:00pm and 5:30pm.  We will have two services on Christmas Eve.  They will be exactly the same, so come to whichever one works for you.  We’ll have limited indoor seating, seating in the grove with the usual screen setup, and a tent on the lawn with a screen to be able to see.  Each of our services will be about 45 minutes and will end with candle lighting and singing “Silent Night”.  We usually see more people at the earlier service, so if you haven’t decided yet, the 5:30 service may be a better option.

For the 4:00pm service, we will open the doors for indoor seating at 3:20pm.

For the 5:30pm service, we will open the doors for the indoor seating at 5:05pm

We will also have Hot Cocoa provided outside starting about 3pm.

Parking.  The Chapel has almost no parking right in front of the building, but the parking in Smolian Circle (by the Seaside Neighborhood School) and any of the paid parking in Seaside is currently free.  The public lot on the westside of Seaside by Watercolor is a short walk and has lots of free parking.  If you have anyone who has difficulty walking, you can certainly drop them off at The Chapel and park at one of the nearby locations.

Kids Care.  On Christmas Eve we have no Kids Church or Kids Care.  All kids are welcome at both services in all locations.
Offering.  We will collect an offering on Christmas Eve and we believe our responsibility as followers of Jesus is to proclaim good news through word and action.  For Christmas Eve, 50% of what we collect that evening will go to our mission and outreach partners.  If you are interested in year end giving to continue to help the ministry of The Chapel, we are a 501c3.  Your generous gift is tax deductible.  If you would like to know more about who we give to or want to give online, go to thechapelatseaside.com/give.

The Chapel will be closed December 25th until worship on Sunday, December 29th.
Sunday, December 29th.  Worship at 10am.  We will be back to worship our new born King.  It will be a great time of worship together.  We will also be led in worship by our new worship leader, Nate Kelly and a guest musician, Gracie Schram.
The Chapel will be closed during the week and open up on Sunday, January 5th.
Sunday, January 5th.  Communion at 9am and Worship at 10am.  Join us as we kick off the new year with communion and worship.
Tuesday, January 7th.  We are back with our Tuesday Noon Prayer Hour.  We are excited to begin the new year with some intentional prayer focus.  Join us that day for the beginning of a prayer season.  More details to come.
