The New Extraordinary!

In this time of coronavirus, social distancing, quarantining, and working to stay healthy, I’ve experienced some definite silver linings, for which I believe I will be grateful to the Lord God forever! But really, aren’t you sick and tired of hearing about “the new normal?” What in the world does that mean? Who wants a “new normal,” anyway?

As I’ve studied and explored in a more in-depth fashion the Word of God in the Psalms, I’ve discovered, like many, that there has never been a so-called “normal.” When a person chooses to follow Christ and surrender to Him in Salvation, Life is anything but normal!—it’s actually quite extraordinary! Following Christ gives each person an astonishingly uncommon Life where the exceptional is the norm. This wonderfully remarkable life expands our horizons eternally; this Christ-centered existence fills us with Grace, Truth, and renewed Hope every moment we breathe.

“If anyone is IN CHRIST, they are new creations. The past is gone, and the new has come. All this is from God who reconciles us to Himself through His Son, Jesus Christ.”

II Corinthians 5:17–18

My encouragement to you in the “Reopening” of our nation, our cities, our lives, and our God-given freedom is to open yourself up entirely to the exciting, beyond-comprehension Life of living In Christ! The possibilities are endless. They are forgiveness and real freedom, and they are eternal; they are gifts of abundant Life and Joyous celebration. Commit to speaking into your soul these transforming Words from Psalm 91. Begin to live an infinitely deeper, richer life In Christ.

“If you say ‘The Lord is my refuge’ and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For He will command His Angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways…”

Psalm 91:9–10

Blessings,

Pastor Gary
