Let Your Light Shine Before Others

that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:16

The Chapel at Seaside is dedicated not only to spreading God’s love but also to fund-raising and other initiatives that will help those in need. We work with many nonprofit partners who do amazing things locally, regionally, and beyond. It is part of our calling as a church to help when we can, and we are continually humbled and grateful to all the members of our community who make these efforts possible. To help us support the organizations below or our other charitable projects, please consider donating today. Thank you and God bless!

Seaside, Florida Beach

COVID-19 Relief Fund

On March 27, The Chapel initiated a fund-raising campaign to provide financial support to the workers of Seaside-based businesses. The campaign, anchored by $100,000 matches from the Robert Davis Family Foundation and from The Chapel, was very successful, raising over $300,000 and allowing us to support over 250 workers from 30 businesses.

We’ve been overwhelmed with gratitude from the business owners and the workers who received these funds. This card was especially moving: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I opened the envelope and almost fell to my knees in tears. The check is such a blessing to me and my daughter. I was down to the last $12 in my bank account and praying for some type of miracle. Then that miracle came today!”

Now, with unemployment compensation processes overwhelmed and stimulus checks equal to about a week’s pay, The Chapel is called to continue this support and has committed to raising another $300,000.  Again, we are blessed to have a commitment for matching gifts – $50,000 from an anonymous donor and the Chapel commits another $100,000 in matching gifts.  Please leverage these matching gifts to triple your donation!

These testimonials are in response to our April 2020 financial support to workers who were furloughed or laid off from Seaside-based businesses without any severance or supplemental wages due to COVID-19:

I just wanted to give everyone at the Seaside Chapel a huge thank you for your love and support for my family and our community. Stay safe and healthy!

Seaside Employee

I can’t believe the mail I received from you all today! I can’t begin to express my gratitude, feeling so grateful and blessed to be a part of such a wonderful community! May God bless us all.

Seaside Employee

Wow. Just wow! Thank you for your generosity, kindness, and thoughtfulness. Mostly, thank you for your Christian attitude. If I’ve learned anything about our God, it’s that He will surprise and comfort you whether you’re seeking Him and connecting with Him or not. Seaside Chapel is clearly acting as God’s instrument to reach its community. I only know that you exist, and never expected your love and support during these hard times. Writing that, it actually (suddenly) seems foolish. Why wouldn’t I expect God’s children to show up and show out? ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive’ (Acts 20:35) Please don’t hesitate to let us know what we can do to mirror the love and support you’ve shown us. Show us how to follow your lead. Show us how to reach our community for God. Lots of love, y’all!

To Everyone at The Seaside Interfaith Chapel, On behalf of ourselves and the rest of our staff, we would like to give our sincere thanks. Your generosity and kindness are so appreciated. This is a crazy time for us all. Thank you for extending help and making it a little easier for our crew. Take care and be well!

Seaside Business Owner

Your kindness and concern for the Seaside community are more appreciated than you could imagine. Thank you so much for helping not only myself but every staff member. I have spoken with several of my coworkers, and we shared tears of happiness when we saw what you did for us all. It most certainly brings peace and comfort during this time. Your generosity is beyond measure. Again, thank you. Have a blessed day!

Seaside Employee

I am speechless, to say the least, at the kind and sweet gesture the amazing white Chapel did for us employees. I also do weddings there, so this really melted my heart. From my entire family, many many thanks and hugs!

Seaside Employee

Words cannot begin to describe how thankful I am for this remarkable gift. I have truly been touched by God through this act of kindness. In these tough times, I am reminded, ‘Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with my righteous right hand’ (Isaiah 41:10). Thank you so much! God bless you all!

Seaside Employee

I wanted to thank you and all those responsible for the most generous gift given on behalf of the Seaside Chapel to me and my coworkers. It’s in these difficult times that I see plainly what de Tocqueville said so long ago—‘America is great because American is good.’ Thank you so much for your kindness.

Seaside Employee

I would like to thank the board and staff of The Chapel at Seaside. Your financial support is very much appreciated. Y’all are a blessing! We can give our fears to God and trust in Him during these hard and unknowing times. Thank you!

Seaside Employee

I can't begin to thank you enough for the financial support you have blessed me and my family with during this hard time. You helped me through the hurricane that destroyed my home, and you are helping me now through this pandemic. The love of Christ is evident in your generosity. We love the Lord and try to honor Him through our lives every day. We believe His Word when He says He works all things for our good, even the hard things. We think of James 1:17 when we think of you because it says 'Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father.' You are part of His plan, and we are so thankful for your gift to us. We know God is doing great work in you and your church.

Seaside Employee

Dear Seaside Chapel, I am an artist who moved here from Georgia in the spring of 2005 and started working in Seaside that fall. I'm still employed there, and by far, Seaside has been the very best! I just wanted to reach out to you and thank you for your generosity and kindness! God bless you all and thank you, thank you, thank you!

Seaside Employee

Thank you so much for helping provide financial support during this time. It is such a blessing to work for such a wonderful community. I cannot express how thankful I am for the help you have offered me. I can’t wait to be able to open our doors for business as usual.

Seaside Employee

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my family as we all navigate this difficult time. It is a great comfort to see God’s love and grace displayed through His people! Praying God pours out His blessings on you all!

Seaside Employee

Thank you so very much! Your generosity is overwhelming! I have been truly blessed to work for such an incredible employer in Seaside and to witness their personal generosity toward all our employees. This has certainly been a time to pay it forward. My thanks to you all for thinking of me!

Seaside Employee

Thank you for your gracious support during these tough times. May God bless you all.

Seaside Chapel, Gary Wingo, Chapel Board, and Staff, As a Ruskin employee, I want to sincerely thank you for the unexpected and generous gift of cash for our family. I have worked in Ruskin since 2000 and couldn't imagine working anywhere else! I have made friends with several homeowners, and Seaside is my home away from home. It still is, especially now.

Seaside Employee

To The Chapel Board and Staff, Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I opened the envelope and almost fell to my knees in tears. I’m in tears simply writing this letter! This check is such a blessing to me and my daughter. I was down to the last twelve dollars in my bank account and praying for some type of miracle. Then that miracle came today! I am still in shock! Thank you again for being the miracle I needed to be able to put food in our house and catch up on bills that needed to be paid!

Seaside Employee

Dear Seaside Chapel Members, Thank you so much for the check. I am humbled by your kind generosity. Your support is so much appreciated during this trying time in our Seaside community and all across our country. May the Lord truly bless you as you minister to those in need.

Seaside Business Owner

We want to thank you and the whole congregation at The Chapel at Seaside for your kindness. We are so thankful and grateful for you and our beautiful community!

Seaside Employee

Thank you so much. I only have $40 to my name right now. I hope you know the huge difference that you are making in lives. I do.

Seaside Employee

Hi, thank you for all you’re doing. When I called our manager, she cried. This has been so stressful for us as business owners and for our full-time people, as I know it has been for all. Our words could not express the gratitude we have for what you’re doing for our business. We are a smaller store, and surviving this will be hard for us. We had made the decision to make sure our girls were taken care of the best we could, even if it took our business. By The Chapel doing this, it allows us to focus on staying afloat. So, a heartfelt ‘Thank you!’ from us.

Seaside Business Owner

We all want to thank you from the bottom of hearts and we are all praying for peace and a solution for this virus COVID-19 to come to an end and be under control.

Seaside Business Owner

This is truly unbelievable. As you know, many retail employees live month to month, and for someone to voluntarily reach out with support is the definition of a miracle. God is good, and we will all come through this experience with kinder hearts and a better perspective on what is important in life. I honestly do not know how to thank you. Blessings.
