Christmas Eve Services at The Chapel
December 24, 2020 Join us at The Chapel at Seaside to celebrate the reason for the season, the birth of Jesus Christ, our Savior, for our traditional Christmas Eve worship services. Three Christmas Eve services will take place this year, at 2:00, 4:00, and 6:00 p.m., so there are three opportunities to join us in prayer. We will be celebrating with music, holiday-themed scripture, and more. Seating
Y’all Are the Light of the World
Hey y’all. I say and type y’all so much that my phone predicts it and autocorrects it if I spell it wrong. I said y’all when I lived in Missouri . . . it just became more socially acceptable when I moved to Texas. I’m not totally sure how “y’all” is received in Florida, but I’m excited to find out. Y’all is the second-person plural
Now Open for Sunday Worship Services!
We invite you to once again join us in-person at The Chapel at Seaside for our interdenominational Sunday worship services beginning at 10:00 a.m. Thank you to our many members and visitors who have been patient and understanding as we worked out the safest and best practices for reopening The Chapel. The Pursuit of More
We are people who generally want more. Time. Money. Influence. Power. In Genesis, we see Adam and Eve created in the image of God. They are like God, made by God, and have the breath of God in them. They are given the power to create and responsibility to steward creation. These new God-like creatures fall for something that is not God out of a desire for more. The serpent tempts them
Authority and Egypt
It’s funny what we let control us. We think we know what is good for us, but if we aren’t careful, we will give authority over ourselves away. We buy phones believing they are made to serve us, yet if we aren’t careful, we serve them. We respond to their every need. We have given the phone authority over us. We likely give lots of things unearned authority
The Kingdom of God Is at Hand
I’ve been thinking about the Kingdom of God. Sometimes we think life is here and now, then we die and live in the Kingdom of God. But is it closer than we think? In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus teaches us to pray, “thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” In that one line, we are praying that the Kingdom of God comes

The Chapel’s Vision, Meaning & Strategy
Dear Friends of the Chapel at Seaside, On Sunday, July 26, immediately following the Chapel’s worship service, the Chapel Board presented the results of their July 9–10 strategy planning session. Work for that session was based on an equal amount of congregational and Board feedback, providing us with experiential learnings to help craft our future vision. The PDF file linked below is a copy of the
