Aslan is on the Move

Aslan is on the Move

I lift up my eyes to the hills – where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of Heaven and Earth. He will not let your foot slip – He who watches over you will not slumber…” Psalm 121:1-4

The Chapel at Seaside
Sunday – September 1, 2019 – 10:00 AM

“They say ASLAN is on the move — perhaps already landed” — And now a very curious thing happened. None of the children knew who ASLAN was any more than you do, but the moment Beaver had spoken these words everyone felt quite different.”

“The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe” By J.R.R. TOLKIEN

“For the Beauty of the Earth” Hymn 638

Benediction Gary Wingo

“The point is that God’s power is made perfect in weakness, God’s Grace shines clearest through sinners, and God’s Message can only be heard from people who are beggars telling other beggars where they found Bread.” -Steve Brown

*ASLAN ON THE MOVE: “In and Around You & Me”

Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves.  ‘It is written,’ He said to them,  ‘My house will be called a House of Prayer,’[a] but you are making it ‘a den of robbers.’” Matthew 21:12-13 – Pg. 1535

*ASLAN ON THE MOVE: “In Our World”

The blind and the lame came to Him at the temple, and He healed them.  But when the chief priests and the teachers of the law saw the wonderful things He did and the children shouting in the temple courts, ‘Hosanna to the Son of David,” they were indignant.”

Matthew 21:14-15 – Pg. 1536

*ASLAN ON THE MOVE: In Your World, Culture, Life!

Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me.  But He said to me, “My Grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.  That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

II Corinthians 12:8-10 – Pg, 1804

Create in me a clean heart O Lord, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Don’t cast me from Your presence or take Your Holy Spirit from me…Restore to me the JOY of Your Salvation, and grant a willing spirit to sustain me.”

My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, God, You will not despise.” Psalm 51:1-12, 17 – Pg. 888
