Aromatherapy: What an Endorsement!

“Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and He relents from sending calamity. Who knows? He may turn and relent and leave behind a blessing…”
Joel 13-14a – Pg. 1420

The Chapel at Seaside
Sunday – January 27, 2019 – 10:00 a.m.

“…Thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the AROMA of the knowledge of Him everywhere.” II Corinthians 2:14 – Pg. 1794

PRELUDES Jeff and Betty Nichols

“He Lives” Hymn 269

WELCOME Gary Wingo

“You yourselves are all the endorsement we need. Your very lives are a letter that anyone can read by just looking at you. Christ Himself wrote it—not with ink, but with God’s living Spirit; not chiseled into stone, but carved into human lives—and we publish it.”
II Corinthians 3:3 – The Message

“What a Friend We Have in Jesus” Hymn 154

MESSAGE Gary Wingo

“AROMATHERAPY: What An Endorsement!”

“His Name Is Wonderful” Hymn 315

Benediction Gary Wingo

“FAITH…TRUST…is the key that unlocks our readiness to receive God’s sufficiency in our lives.” “Life Without Lack” – Dallas Willard

Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, like some people, Letters of Recommendation to you or from you? You yourselves are our Letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone. You show that you are a LETTER FROM CHRIST, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.”

II Corinthians 3:1-3 – Pg. 1794

For God, who said, ‘Let the LIGHT shine in our hearts to give us the LIGHT of the knowledge of God’s Glory displayed in the FACE of Christ. But…we have this TREASURE in JARS OF CLAY to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.”

II Corinthians 4:6-7 – Pg. 1796

As God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, CLOTHE yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.  And over all these virtues put on LOVE, which binds them all together in perfect unity.” Colossians 3:12 – Pg. 1832

While we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.  Now the One who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.”

II Corinthians 5:4-5 – Pg. 1797
